Kenzie Schott
Editor-in-Chief
Mandeville, Louisiana

What do you do as Editor-in-Chief?
I make sure the machine is always running smoothly. In addition to editing each article published in Volume 77, I troubleshoot with Board members, communicate with authors, and try to keep everyone happy.

What has been your favorite class?
Property. Learning and applying Louisiana property law was like solving a puzzle.

What is the last thing you recorded on TV?
Friends. I’ll be there for you.

What is your favorite book?
Blink by Malcolm Gladwell.

What is your favorite movie?
There are too many movies and too many I haven’t seen. Most people that know me know that my knowledge of movies is severely lacking.

What three items would you take on a deserted island?
My running shoes, a beach towel, and speakers to play music.

Do you collect anything?
I collect items for my “to do” list—I always have a list.

How many pillows do you sleep with?
Two, always.

What is one fact that everyone should know about you?
My family is known as the “hustle family.” Thanks to my dad, we never stop moving. Family Disneyworld trips have always been more like marathons than vacations.

What do you prefer: the Civil Code or the Common Law?
The Civil Code.
