The Louisiana Law Review is proud to announce the release of a new issue dedicated to the explosion and subsequent oil spill on the Deepwater Horizon on April 20, 2010.
Professor Thomas Galligan is an expert in maritime law, and has testified before congress regarding the caps on liability for the families of the workers killed when the Deepwater Horizon exploded. Professor Patrick Martin is the former Commissioner of Conservation for the Louisiana Department of Natural Resources, currently serves as the Director of the Louisiana Mineral Law Institute, and is a preeminent scholar in Louisiana oil & gas law. Professor Kenneth Murchison is an expert in environmental law and has testified before Congress regarding the Oil Pollution Act’s $75 million limitation of liability for certain damages. Professor LindaMullenix teaches at the University of Texas School of Law, is an expert in mass torts litigation, and is the author of the leading “Mass Torts” casebook.
