Jack Zeringue
Online Editor
New Orleans, Louisiana

What is your position?
I serve three different positions that each prove crucial to the success of Volume 77. I am the Online Editor, I am the Executive Producer of the Legal Ease podcast, and I am the unofficial-official Social Chair.

What do your duties as Online Editor, Executive Producer of the Legal Ease podcast, and Social chair involve?
As Online Editor, I maintain the Law Review’s online presence. I maintain the website and all social media outlets. I also oversee our blog publication, The Louisiana Lagniappe. As Executive Producer of the Legal Ease, I produce the show, edit the show, coordinate guest speakers for the show, and host the show. Most importantly, as Social Chair, I plan all of our social outings for the year.

What has been your favorite class?
I really enjoyed Legal Traditions with great civilian himself, Professor Allain Levessauer. The law really was headed in a great direction until that country across the pond had to go and mess things up with their common law nonsense.

What is the last thing you recorded on TV?
Impractical Jokers. I don’t miss a week without watching those guys.

What three items would you take on a deserted island?
A keg of Miller Lite, a book of crossword puzzles, and a pair of polarized sunglasses.

Do you collect anything?
I collect Tervis Tumbler cups. Preferably the 30oz-ers, if available.

If you had a warning label, what would it say?
Beard may bite.

How many pillows do you sleep with?
4. Anyone who sleeps with less is not to be trusted.

What do you prefer: the Civil Code or the Common Law?
The choice is clear: The Civil Code. Even common law leaders are jealous of the civil code.
